Prior to becoming House Inspectors, Valerie and Peter bought and renovated three houses in a six-year period during the 1970's. They found out quickly how little they really knew about houses. Each time they purchased a house they were essentially flying blind. At that time, House Inspections were unknown by the general public and to most Real Estate professionals.

After taking technical training, Valerie especially made it her mission to change attitudes in and outside the Real Estate industry. Today house inspections are as common as termite inspections and Title Insurance to most people.

Of course, success breeds competition and now there are many competent Home Inspectors due partially to the fact that our company, HouseInspect has contributed substantially to the Profession of Home Inspectors.
